The Dress Collective is the vision of founder Amanda Oberhaus, a longtime entrepreneur, community builder, and bridal industry professional who believes the most meaningful experiences are rarely one-size-fits-all.

Before bringing The Dress Collective to Charleston, Amanda owned and operated a bridal boutique in the heart of downtown Nashville, where years spent working closely with brides, designers, and gowns shaped a different perspective on what bridal shopping could—and should—feel like.

That experience ultimately inspired The Dress Collective: bridal reimagined, beyond the traditional boutique.

Tucked away on iconic King Street in the heart of downtown Charleston, The Dress Collective is intentionally a little different from what you might expect to find in a traditional bridal store. Think of us as a bridal hidden gem—an intimate, appointment-led space filled with unexpected finds, incredible designers, one-of-a-kind gowns, and pieces waiting to be discovered.

Built on the belief that some dresses simply need the right moment, The Dress Collective offers a thoughtfully curated approach to bridal rather than racks upon racks of gowns. Through The Revival Edit, exceptional designer gowns are given the opportunity to be discovered again; select made-to-order designs offer something created especially for the bride; and one-of-a-kind pieces celebrate craftsmanship, individuality, and story.

Because beauty doesn't lose its value with time. Sometimes, it simply waits for the right woman and the right moment.

Appointments are intentionally intimate, personal, and never about trying on as many gowns as possible. Amanda believes finding your dress should feel less like shopping and more like discovering something that feels unmistakably you. Amanda is also the founder of OberFit and The Sweat Collective and creator of Charleston's popular Sweat on the Ship fitness events. Across seemingly different worlds—from fitness and community events to bridal—her work has always shared the same heartbeat: bringing women together, creating meaningful experiences, and making people feel seen and celebrated.
