Why We Became the Exclusive US Home for Mara Marie Bridal
When I opened The Dress Collective on King Street, the goal was never just to sell wedding dresses. It was to build something different — a bridal experience built on intention, not overwhelm. So when the opportunity came to work with Mara Marie Bridal, I didn't take the decision lightly.
Who Is Mara Marie?
Mara Marie Bridal is a London-based designer whose gowns are handcrafted in her own atelier, from fabrics sourced at some of the world's most respected mills. After earning her degree in Fashion Design and training alongside some of the bridal industry's most respected names, Mara built a collection defined by exactly what The Dress Collective stands for: craftsmanship, intention, and timeless design that never feels mass-produced.
Every gown she creates is made to order — brought to life by Mara herself, not a factory line. That kind of care is rare in bridal, and it's exactly the standard I wanted to bring to Charleston brides.
Why Exclusive Matters
We're honored — and, honestly, a little proud — to be the only boutique in the entire United States offering Mara Marie's collection. That's not a small thing. It means when a bride works with us on a made-to-order gown, she's not choosing from something available at ten other salons across the country. She's getting access to a designer whose work exists, in the US, in exactly one place: here.
That exclusivity isn't about status for its own sake. It's about protecting what made us want to work with Mara in the first place — a collection that feels considered, not everywhere.
What This Means for You
If you've been dreaming of a gown that's made specifically for you — not altered from a sample, not one of a dozen brides wearing the same silhouette that season, but genuinely yours — a Mara Marie made-to-order appointment is worth experiencing. You'll spend time one-on-one with a stylist, explore silhouettes and details from her collection, and walk away with a gown handcrafted in her London atelier just for your wedding day.
Made-to-order gowns start at $3,000, with a 4–5 month production timeline — so if this is calling to you, we recommend starting the conversation at least 9 months before your wedding.
Come See It for Yourself
Bridal, reimagined — that's what we set out to build, and bringing Mara Marie to Charleston is one of the pieces I'm proudest of. If you want to be among the first American brides to experience her collection in person, we'd love to have you.
Book your Mara Marie appointment and come see why we fell in love with her work.
